Building on its existing expertise in vehicles and air conditioning, KED entered into the Telecom domain with the humble ‘OFC Splicing Vans’ and ‘OFC Cable Drum Trolleys’.
Decades of understanding about automobiles, and an innate desire to challenge itself, led the Company to develop the first-ever Portable Vehicle-based Telecom Tower in India, in the year 2002.
KED further went on to develop a complete family of products in Vehicle & Trailer-based Telecom Towers, and supplied the same in large quantities to various Telcos. In fact, KED was the first in the country to introduce the portable Towers, now commonly known as ‘Cell on Wheels’.
TELESCOPIC FAST MASTs
For deployment on ground, the Skid Based Mast is just freely placed on a leveled and hard ground. It does not require any civil foundation. The Platform rests on the ground through an arrangement of height-adjustable screw jacks & specially designed polymer-concrete support pads.
RIGID FAST MASTs
The Skid-Based Rigid Mast is yet another first from KED; combining the simplicity of a Ground-based Tower and the flexibility of a Portable Tower. This mast is a modular, non-telescopic mast built on a steel-base frame, block-by-block. It is most suitable for deployments requiring a lesser degree of portability.
CELL ON WHEELS
Cell on Wheels are most suitable for deployment in areas mandating trailer-based masts, such as defence establishments and cantonment areas. Cell On Wheel towers provide a very high-degree of portability, convenience and ease of telecommunications operations.
